Do this when you have chronic disease ➡️

☑️ Advocate for yourself when working with a practitioner. Ask lots of questions. 🗣️Speak up and speak with passion. And if a protocol is offered, ask for evidence based articles that support the recommendations.

☑️ Spend your time and resources on reducing system inflammation➡️ change your eating life, reduce stress, get test, and take high-quality supplements.

☑️ Create a symphony not cacophony 💥🙉🤯so many well intentioned friends, neighbors, family members will offer you advice, protocols, therapies, etc.
They’ll say things like, “Oh this worked for my co-workers daughter, “my neighbors husband,” “I saw this on YouTube.”

Politely thank them for their thoughtfulness. Take the info. and research it, reflect on it, pray about it, BUT
don’t jump on every healing protocol that comes your way.

⛔️ Stop the noise. Approach your chronic disease with a bio-individualized perspective. Figure out the root cause, what’s happening in your body, what’s out of balance or deficient, etc.

It seems too simple.🌿

But it’s true.

1️⃣ Fill 70% of your plate with plants. They contain phytonutrients that combat INFLAMMATION and boost your immune system. Some of those plants naturally detoxify and help balance hormones. 🥗🥦🥕🥬

2️⃣ Walk daily. 🚶‍♀️🚶Now if your current exercise practice is more vigorously than a walk and your body responds well to what you are doing, then keep up the good work. 💪 If your body is burned out from illness, then take exercise slowly.

3️⃣ Get your sleep 💤😴. Sleep is restorative, so get at least 7 hours if possible. Sleep helps balance hormones and detoxifies the body by way of fasting while you sleep 🛏️🥱.

A practice is an activity that you embody or do regularly. Start with one of these actions and make it a practice for a week then 2 weeks, then 3 weeks then 4 weeks. Pretty soon it becomes a lifestyle.

🌟 Embracing My Gray🌟

Hey there, friends! It’s been almost a year for me since I decided to go gray.

Today I want to share why I made the decision to let my hair go gray. ☀️

It’s about embracing my age and celebrating the beauty of natural hair.

Another reason I decided to let my hair go gray was to embrace confidence in my own skin. Gray hair is a symbol of wisdom and experience, and I’m wearing it proudly along with the lines around my eyes and lips😂

Letting go of society’s beauty standards has been liberating. 🎈🎉

Breaking Free from Hair Dye ✨
I chose to let my hair go gray was to break free from the constant cycle of hair dye. Having to color often meant more chemicals on my hair and in my body. 🧪⚗️

I was racing against time. And it was exhausting. No more touching up roots or worrying about color fading!

Trying to stay on top of my roots started to get expensive 💵💰but now I focus on maintaining the health of my hair.

At first, letting go of hair color was difficult. I love being in my late 50’s (really late late) which means, for me, welcoming the gray.

I also want to practice clean living in as many areas of my life as possible, so breaking up with hair dye was the obvious next step for ME.
